At 80 metres, Chopi Chopi is by far the biggest yacht the CRN shipyard has built, and she did not come easily. In the golden pre-recession age of yachting, the Italian yard experienced significant growth, signing contracts for several yachts above 70 metres. Zuccon International Project, the long-time design partner of CRN’s parent company Ferretti Group, was chosen to develop a series of superyacht concepts to attract the attention of the yard’s international clientele: among them was the project that would become Chopi Chopi.
660,000 working hours paid off. It is clear that the owner, a gentleman from the Middle East, knows how to relate to luxury in a natural way.
The new flagship is the outcome of the integration of different skills and the fruitful cooperation between the CRN Engineering team, in charge of naval architecture, and Studio Zuccon International Project, the design firm that developed the vessel’s exterior lines and interior layout. Upon specific request by the Owner, the interior concept and all furniture and furnishings have been designed by interior designer Laura Sessa.
With launch in 2013, the breathtaking Chopi Chopi superyacht is an 80-metre CRN 129 steel and aluminium displacement vessel, built by the prestigious Italian shipyard, CRN Ancona. The CRN 129 motor yacht Chopi Chopi boasts exterior design by Studio Zuccon International Project and CRN Technical Office, while her interior design is by Architect Laura Sessa Romboli and CRN Centro Stile.
Accommodation aboard the CRN 129 megayacht Chopi Chopi is provided to up to 12 guests in 6 luxurious and comfortable suites. There is a spacious Owner’s suite, along with 5 lovely double cabins. Service aboard this outstanding vessel is provided by an impressive crew of 30 professionals.
Run by twin Caterpillar 3516B-C 1640 [email protected] RPM diesels, the 80m luxury yacht Chopi Chopi can achieve a maximum speed of 16 knots. She can comfortably cruise at 15 knots. Her beam is of 13,5m (44’3”) and her draft is of 3,4m (11’1”).
