Ice, formerly knowed as Air, is one of the most technical up-to-date yacht, with very low emissions, low vibrations, low sound levels and as clean and environmentally friendly as possible.
She is the first yacht in the world fitted with Azipods. Eight diesel generators supply the required power for both hotel load and propulsion. The overall result is a vibration free environment which yields the ultimate comfort for owner and guests.
Further technical key features are two pump jets instead of the regular tunnel bow thruster, an effective dynamic positioning system, a large helicopter landing area and a 8 x 3,50 m pool.
Ice has grandiose deck passages, even grander interior spaces and a total separation of owner and crew areas. The interior design is best described as minimalistic contemporary. Very few different materials have been selected, and these have been used consistently throughout the whole yacht. Another unique feature is the owners private exterior lounge area located on the main deck forward.
The upper deck offers another very large exterior lounge area, while the aft part of the bridge deck is designed for helicopter operation. The helicopter landing area is MCA certified and is laid out for a Eurocopter 135.
Ice’s interior configuration has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 14 guests overnight in 7 cabins, comprising a master suite, 2 double cabins and 4 twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 27 crew onboard in 13 cabins to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Construction & Dimensions
Ice features a displacement steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. She was built to Germanischer Lloyd ✠ 100 A5 Motor Yacht ERS, ✠ MC AUT classification society rules, and is MCA Compliant.
Ice yacht is equipped with an ultra-modern stabilization system which reduces roll motion effect and results in a smoother more enjoyable cruising experience underway. This luxury yacht is also fitted with ‘at anchor stabilisers’ which work at anchor, increasing on-board comfort when the yacht is stationary, particularly in rough waters.
Powered by 2 ABB (ABB electric powered Compact Azipods, type 5) 1,864hp diesel-electric engines and propelled by her twin azipods Motor yacht Ice is capable of a top speed of 18.6 knots, and comfortably cruises at 16 knots. With her 4,000,008 litres fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 6,000 nautical miles at 16 knots.
